Mining Pit Hotel

Conceptual designs of the Sonjiang Hotel have been released and they are incredible.

At first glance, I thought the Atkins design firm were planning on building the hotel inside an abandoned mining pit, which would afforded interesting views to visitors.

I love the use of green roofing in this project, it integrates with the landscape nicely.

Instead, the hotel is being built to hug the 100ft rock wall surrounding a beautiful quarry, of which brave guests can jump off of, as the hotel offers bungee jumping.
